Marvel's Daredevil from Patrick Clair on Vimeo.
It is animated, using a CG liquid simulation to create the title sequence. It sets the location of America, more specifically New York City, and introduces the main character; the audience gets the sense that the main character may be more than meets the eye, provoking curiosity in them. The red colour scheme suggests blood, adding to the ominous feel. The dramatic music sets the tense tone for the rest of the show, and creates a feeling of uncertainty in the audience.

MK12 // The Kite Runner: Opening Title Sequence from MK12 on Vimeo.
This is an animated film sequence, the credits integrating with the images and background we see. The choice of colour scheme, music and the font of the credits all set the location of the movie in Afghanistan. The fast pace of the music suggests to the audience that something's going to happen, but it is not particularly tense. The ending of the title sequence where the camera follows the kite from the credits into the actual live action dovetails very smoothly into the film and the switch from animation.
