Prelim and Evaluation

Prelim Evaluation

Planning
Planning went very well as we were all able to decide on how to take the shots and in which order, everyone in the group had an idea for a shot so we talked about them then decided how they would best fit into the video. This was critical as it allowed everyone in the group to have their idea heard and shown, plus it shows the collaboration we had.

Filming and Editing
Filming of our video went smoothly and quickly that is hinted in the video as it isn't very long, we felt as if prolonging the video would have not fitted into what we wanted the outcome to be. We took turns filming, I filmed the scene where to two characters interact I did this by not breaking the 180 degree rule. The 180 rule is when two characters are having a conversation and the camera must not cross the line. (See picture below)
This was my favourite part as I had fun filming this particular scene.
Editing was also went smoothly as everyone in the group was allowed to edit their own version of the video, the one shown above was the one I edited. I added music but cut it out when the characters were having a conversation. Before the characters meet I kept cutting back and forth from their prospective to show that they were both in two different locations and to also emphasise the fact that they are about to meet to carry out a transaction. I also did some invisible editing during the conversation, at the 0:38 mark you are able to see Omar carries on speaking even though the camera cuts to a different angle.
Overall I believe everything went well but I could of made the video a lot better, this would of required a lot more knowledge on Premiere CC which is something I'm trying to teach myself.
